The Amayda Resilience Program (ARP) is a one-of-a-kind initiative that delves deep into the roots of bullying and mental health issues. It takes a holistic approach, striving for the best outcomes for everyone, even the perpetrator.
We envision schools as havens where students, teachers, and admin staff feel not just secure but also valued, respected, liked, and genuinely happy. This optimal learning environment isn’t just a setting; it’s a catalyst for improved academic performance.
ARP also unveils a sobering truth – many child bullies are victims themselves. Understanding this cycle ignites student enthusiasm to be part of the solution.
To reshape school culture, active involvement is vital – students, teachers, admin staff, and parents. With bullying and mental health impacting everyone, collective action is our shared responsibility for positive change.
ARP: Defensive. Sustainable. Long-Term.
Our Amayda Resilience Program (ARP) isn’t just a defensive solution; it’s a sustainable, long-term approach rooted in human rights, law, and ethics. Merging science and psychology, ARP simplifies bullying solutions, reducing the likelihood of repercussions.
Centred on diffusion, negotiation, and de-escalation, ARP equips individuals with effective self-protection skills. These age-relevant, easy-to-learn strategies empower swift and accurate responses in bullying situations, breaking the cycle of inaction often seen in traumatic events.
We tackle mental health with a proactive stance, emphasising prevention and support through education. Following the World Health Organization's guidance, mental health is viewed as a state of well-being enabling people to navigate life's challenges, realize their potential, excel in learning and work, and contribute to their community. It transcends the mere absence of disorders—it's the essence of quality living, distinguishing between mere existence and truly thriving.
As students embrace their self-worth, resilience grows, strengthening connections with peers, teachers, admin staff, siblings, parents, friends, relatives, and the wider community. Valuing their uniqueness naturally extends to appreciating the uniqueness in others. Self-respect becomes the catalyst, cultivating mutual respect for all.
Our in-house psychologist offers valuable insights to guide students in developing the most crucial relationship in the world – the one with themselves. This relationship is unavoidable, lasting a lifetime, and serves as the bedrock for all others. Globally, and in Australia, suicide rates are approximately double that of murder, underscoring the significance of self-connection. The ARP emphasizes the intrinsic value of every individual, promoting the belief that everyone is unique. Rather than comparisons, students learn to focus on what truly matters to them.
The ARP is a ten-hour journey, typically one hour per week throughout a single school term. It comprehensively addresses mental health enhancement and offers practical solutions for various bullying situations, from verbal and cyberbullying to physical encounters. The impact doesn’t end with the program; our exclusive Mentor App ensures continuous support until students complete Grade 12.
Monitoring is key—through school data and surveys on the Mentor App, we ensure each school stays on the right track.
